The Story of Passing on Dao Yin An Qiao: DYAQ met in China

One day in 2006 my husband, Dr. Fu Qinzeng (the vice president of the World Association of Medical Qigong) received a call from Ms. Li (a German-Chinese woman, vice president of the World Association of Medical Qigong) from Berlin, telling him that she was taking a group of TCM students to the World Congress of Medical Qigong in Beijing and that some study programs will be arranged after the congress so that the group can learn about traditional Chinese culture, Chinese medicine, Qigong and the I Ching. The Dao Yin An Qiao course was organized on the first day. Dr Fu discussed with Ms. Li that the purpose of the course, which was only planned for one day, was to introduce them to the Dao Yin An Qiao culture of Chinese medicine. The German-speaking participants were introduced to the history of the DYAQ and had the opportunity to experience it on site. The students were so excited after the experience that they described the experience as incredible, magical and mysterious. For them, DYAQ was very different from other TCM methods they had learned before. They had a different body feeling and the method worked very well. At the group’s request, Ms. Li had to cancel all other classes and devoted all their study time with Dr. Fu to learn about DYAQ.

After completing the course, the participants were not satisfied because they  wanted to learn more. They insisted  on inviting Dr. Fu to Germany in 2007 to further teach them DYAQ. Dr. Fu was moved by the students’ enthusiasm and agreed to their request. In 2007 he was invited to Berlin for the first time. Since then, we both have set out to spread Chinese culture abroad, and at the same time, DYAQ has also taken the first step abroad.
